Trevor Hessel, Class A Teaching Professional
"Our purpose is to help grow the game of golf through teaching the game's most important fundamental lessons. Ultimately helping golfers improve and find more enjoyment from the game."
Trevor began his career in the golf industry at a young age working as a camp counsellor at Pike Lake Junior Golf Camp during high school. It was there that a love for the game turned into career aspirations and a decision to attend the Golf Management Business program at Niagara College. He has since worked his way up from an entry level role as an apprentice golf professional to achieve certification as a Class A Teaching Professional with the Canadian PGA.
Trevor is a highly qualified golf instructor with several years of teaching experience. Having spent 7 years as an Assistant Golf Professional at high end golf courses in Muskoka, not to mention 3 years experience as a Program Co-ordinator and Director of Golf Instruction onboard Princess and Carnival Cruise Lines.
Trevor's desire to grow the game of golf, a love for people and a desire to help others improve has lead to the creation of the Momentum Golf Academy at Royal Ontario. Momentum Golf offers lesson programs, camps and clinics for juniors, beginners and veterans.
Chris started playing golf when he was only 4 years old. He began playing competitive golf at age 11. Wanting to take his game to the next level, Chris moved to Texas and attended the Texas Golf Academy. There he spent 2 years playing high competitive golf tournaments.
After playing in a couple Pro events as an amateur, he saw that he had the potential to turn Pro, which he did in November 2008. He then moved to Florida and began teaching at the Florida Golf Academy. With a desire to bring his knowledge back to Canada, Chris joins the Momentum Golf Academy. Chris has spent many years studying the golf swing of professionals to beginners. He can relate to many different thoughts and questions, seeing how he has been in both positions.
Chris will be heading up our elite junior golf program, training serious junior golfers for competitive golf.
